Meet my team!

Meet my team!  Daniel Minter Daniel is such a cool guy. He's passionate about music and worship, and extremely talented at it I might add. He has such a pure heart and joy for Jesus and I cannot wait to serve alongside him. Rachel Starts Rachel is the adorable blonde in the middle there. She's basically my mission trip buddy. She and I have had the opportunity and pleasure to serve in Nicaragua together twice during our high school years. She's got such a beautiful heart that just wants to dive deeper into who Jesus is and His love and goodness. I love her!  Calah Riddell Calah is such a sweet, sensitive, yet strong soul. She radiates love to everyone she meets and is so passionate about Jesus. She is definetly going to be such a blessing and loving person to the kids in Uganda.  Mckayla Carmean Mckayla is one of my best friends. She has such a caring heart for all people. I admire her heart for the Lord and how she strives to be more l...

How you can be involved

This adventure is not a one-person endeavor. I need your help! Here's a few ways that you can personally be a part of God's work in Uganda: Prayer Prayer is a very powerful thing. The Father longs to be a part of every little thing in your lives. This is no different. Please pray for my team and I as we prepare spiritually, fundamentally, and emotionally. Not only is this a huge stretch for us, it takes a lot of little details to be ready for it. Please pray for the people in Uganda. Pray that God will move mightily and provide their needs. Please pray for safety, health, endurance, and courage for my team and I. Donation Our need is to raise $4,600 a person for this trip. I invite you to pray about how God is inviting you to be a part of His work in Uganda, whether it be prayer or prayer and donation as well. I have a trip profile on purecharity.com where you can donate to my fund. Here's the link to my trip fund:  purecharity.com/tessrussell2018 .  Thank you so much...

Hello!

Dear Friends and Family,             As some of you may know, this year I am taking a gap year between high school and college through Westside: A Jesus Church with their nine-month internship program. This year, I have been working with their sister church, 26 West, in the young adult group. I have loved being a part of not only the Westside community, but also the 26 West community. In addition to the young adult group, I have been serving in the kids department during Sunday morning gatherings at 26 West and serving at the six o’clock evening service at Westside. On Monday and Tuesday mornings, I gather with the rest of the interns involved in the program for class where we learn about Theology and more of God’s heart and character.             At the end of the program in May, we will all be taking a trip for two months to various locations to apply what we have learned...
